Interesting question, as salt isn’t really supposed to smell by itself, is it? The “salty” perfumes that I’ve encountered seem to use marine notes and sometimes ambergris. Do you know of other ways?
No. But (speaking on Bulgari again) I have a discounted bottle of their fragrance Aqua Divina. It really does smell salty somehow. But they have a way to pick all those notes chemically
So how do perfumes smell salty, anyways? B-)
