Are you referring to the wild vetiver (ruh khus)? I believe the wild type is found in North India, while vetiver in South India is cultivated. My reference may be a bit outdated, though. I will have to smell the South Indian type!

oh.. hm… now I guess i’m not sure. I just read the best Vetiver comes from two specific places in India
