Perfumed Alphabet: P is for Peonile®

Metal or powder?

Every time I use a hand soap or shower gel that lists peony as a note, I think they must mean Peonile®. This makes for a floral heart note that’s actually quite green and harsh, at least to my nose. It also has a distant, latex-balloon impression similar to Florhydral®. Peonile is meant to bring a rose, geranium, or grapefruit character to fragrances and can be used at up to 10% concentration in a perfume.
